July 4th

Laura woke up bright and early to get ready for our get together today.

She played around with her dad before the guests arrived.

When her guests came (Waseem and Rayan), she made them play with her dollhouse

Laura and Rayan were inseparable the whole day and acted like an old married couple. She ordered Rayan around, they hugged, they played and they fought. It was really cute.

We did a lot today. After getting up, Laura thought it was a good idea to try some of my shoes on. I can't believe how girly this girl is.
Then she helped me clean the kitchen.
We headed out to have lunch with her daddy at work but stopped and enjoyed some Kool-Aid and donuts with the new kids who moved in across the street. How cute is this stand?

After lunch of take-out Chinese food, we stopped at Laura's favorite park for about a 1/2 hour.
Then we went over to a friend of mine's home for a couple of hours for tea.
We then made a quick trip to the grocery store for food for our July 4th get together and then went to Needham for their annual fireworks! Yes, that's a small bandaid on her ear from a boo boo that was "bleeding" when she bumped into a counter today. We ran into one of Laura's classmates (Connor) and his family and sat with them for the fireworks.

Jumping

She would do this all day long if she could.

Blech

Laura wanted some lemon water ice tonight and I pulled out some blue tortilla chips for a snack.  She thought it would be yummy together.   Uh, ick?

Going to work with Mommy

Laura had to go to work with me on Friday because her preschool was closed.  Doesn't she looked thrilled and still half asleep with her bedhead?  I only worked half a day at the downtown office so everyone helped to keep her busy while I worked.
Post Office Square

After work, we walked down to Faneuil Hall and watched some street shows.

Then we had lunch at Quincy Market.

Graduation

Laura had her graduation today for Kindergarten 1.  Here she is with her friend, Lilah.  They will be going to the same school next year for K- 2.

This is Rory and Adriana.  Laura has a love/hate relationship with Rory.  They are either hugging and playing together or viciously fighting like cats and dogs.
The Kindergartners wore blue hats.  Preschoolers wore red.

Thomas will be going to K-2 with Laura next year as well.  Oooh boy.

Start humming the song: Dah da da da daaa daaaa.  It's funny because at home, Laura was humming the wedding march.

Thomas and Laura held hands down the aisle.  Awwww.

They sang a song for the parents.
Thomas RAN to get his diploma.
Laura just sauntered over like a clown.
Speaking of clowns, Violet the clown showed up.  Laura told me that "Violent" the clown was going to be at graduation but she wasn't scared of her anymore.  Oh, my little girl is growing up so fast.

Phillies vs. Red Sox

Laura, her dad and I drove down to Philly on Friday.  It took about 8 hours and she was a trooper in the car but right before the George Washington Bridge, she vomited all over herself. Poor little girl.  It was not a good car ride.
Saturday, we all went to Geno's for cheesesteak just before the game.  I'm embarrassed that it was the first time that I tried Geno's (I haven't tried Pat's either).  It was fair in terms of cheesesteaks.  I didn't get the hype.
Laura's dad got us some great seats along the first base line.
Yes, Ymo is wearing a Met's cap.
There was a rain delay so we went down to the field for some pictures.
It ended up being a nice night but Hah dah buh gee was not happy that the Phillies lost.  Sorry daddy.

Playing with my camera

I'm sloooooowwwwly  learning how to use some of the settings on my camera and playing with the Aperture.

Here's a pretty teapot music box that someone gave me.  I put it in Laura's room because it's so cute.

Here is the sunflower seed that we planted on Sunday!  Laura was so excited when she saw it and ran out of the room screaming "IT'S GROWING!".

Saturday

We all went to the Chestnut Hill Mall today to look for glasses for Laura's dad.  Laura had to try out some frames, of course.
I like the red ones!
There was some horticulture event happening on at the mall with different landscapers and the 4 H club brought cute soft bunnies.  They were really cute and Laura got to pet this little guy.

Laura also got to plant a sunflower and brought it home.
Then we all went out for some ice cream.  Laura's new favorite flavor is fat free black raspberry yogurt.  No lie.  This is the 3rd time in a row that she has asked for this flavor.
At 3pm, we went to Rayan's birthday party at his home.  They rented a Moonbounce and the slide!  I was so excited, I mean, Laura was really excited.  The kids went wild (I got to play on this too, heehee).

The boys found a snake in the back yard and killed it.  Poor snake.  The kids were all fascinated by it.   Laura felt bad for it.  How much do you love Vivica's (girl on the right side) expression?

This is Rayan's cake with an adorable alligator.
Rayan's got a flameless candle so his dad lit a match for him to blow out.
I don't know when kids stop getting excited by bubbles.  The all went crazy.  Look at them!
Laura had a blast.  There were a ton of kids at this party and the Moonbounce was genius.  The kids played on this nonstop and then were completely wiped out by the end of the party.
