5 second rule

This is why children should not go away with their fathers. Ugh.

Atlanta Trip

Highlights from Laura's trip with her dad to Atlanta.
The candy incident.
Red sox against the Braves (they lost)
Aquarium: she spent 1 hr there and didn't want to go back. It was too dark and creepy.
Laura came home sick with a fever and strep throat. Poor little girl.

Babysit

Thomas came over for dinner tonight. Just before his arrival, I took Laura to the library. They were sellings used books so I got her 8 books for $4! As soon as Thomas got here, he immediately took out all the "new" books and started reading to Laura.

Corn, noodles and chicken/broccoli for dinner. Thomas ate each noodle by using his fingers to individually place a noodle on the fork and then shove the fork/noodle in his mouth. Needless to say, it took him a LONG time to finish his noodles unlike Laura who has learned to lean into the bowl and shovel food directly into her mouth, just like her mother.
Thomas and Laura ate all of their baked chicken/broccoli after some pestering from me.
They both watched "Over the Hedge" after dinner. I checked in on them periodically and after about an hour, noticed that Thomas was chewing something. I asked him what the heck he was chewing and he said "chicken". Ick! He was chewing that last piece of chicken like a piece of gum. I had to bribe him with a gummy candy to get him to swallow it!

Busy day for Laura
Yoga for kids this morning with her father at the gym then a trip to the Children's Museum with Maya.
Thomas came over for the night. Action shot.

Playing in the neighbor's yard.

They even got tattoos tonight.
The Little Mermaid after their bath. The bandaids are for decoration purposes only. Laura insisted that Thomas get a bandaid on his chin b/c he had a previous scab/bruise on this spot. She decided she needed one on her head as well. Thomas stayed overnight.

Patio

Laura and I hung out together on the patio yesterday.

Finger lickin good

Laura's dad took her swimming after daycare and we met up at Bugaboo Creek for some RIBS! Watch those teeth, if you get too close, you might lose a finger!

Saturday, June 2

Laura had her usual swim class today then off to Maya's birthday party for a VERY girly party.

Here's the birthday girl
Parachute fun
I didn't know that Cinderella could do magic tricks.
Some makeup for the gals
Balloon fun, she's so talented
Ok, so this last photo is a bit odd. Get your mind out of the gutter with the balloon hat, please. The point is, that these kids had a lot of fun and that is all that matters. It's funny b/c I'm sure if Laura even remembers this event, she'll think that the princess was beautiful and magical while I will remember her as being way too shiny, her wig a bit off, wearing an ill fitting halloween costume that was all frayed at the bottom. Oh to be a child again....
