Not sick anymore

At dinner yesterday, I was cleaning up while Laura was eating and she said "Mommy, sit next to me"
I said "Laura, I have a million things to do right now".
She said "You're so very very bootiful (beautiful)".
I didn't even have to give her a cookie for that.

Weekend

We didn't do much this weekend. I went to a conference on Saturday. Sunday, it was cold and snowy so we stayed in our pajamas all day. Laura is better and keeps asking to go back to school.

Sick

Laura woke up at 3am and was crying for me. She had a fever of 104 and I gave her some Motrin and took her into bed with me. She woke up around 9am and the fever had returned. I looked down her throat and her tonsils were huge and the back of her throat a little red. So, I made an appointment with her doctor for the morning. In the interim, she proceeded to vomit. All over my bed, the floor in the office as we were leaving, all over herself in the car and then right in front of the doctor. He did a swab and she has Strep. AGAIN! I know this girl is ill because he gave her a lollipop and she said "I don't want it" and then put it in the trash. I had to take a picture of that because it's unfathomable.

Cookie

I bought this sugar cookie for Laura as a "special treat". She said "Mommy, I love you so very very much". I'm glad I can buy my daughter's love.

New York Trip: Sunday

We went into Manhatten for Ymo to try on some wedding dresses. Here we are in the subway.
The train was too loud for Laura.

This is the only photo in the wedding dress shop. No pictures allowed but we found a beautiful dress for Ymo!
The bridesmaids then came to Ymo's and we tried on some dresses. Laura was trying to entertain herself.
She spent a little time with Maddy.
And showed her how to be a big girl.

We came back to Boston that night and it only took 3hrs and 15 minutes! It was a good trip and we got a lot done!

New York Trip: Saturday

Laura and I drove down to NYC on Friday night. Laura slept most of the trip. This is breakfast at Ymo's place.
Rest up little girl because we have a lot to do today.

We drove to Garrison, NY to see the reception hall that they booked. It's about an hour from NYC.

Here's the restaurant attached to the reception hall.
The food was good.
Mommy and Laura in the reception hall.
We visited some local churches.
We also scoped out some places for possible wedding photos.
Laura was so scared of this dog. It was the nicest lab.
Then a quick trip to Costco before heading back to Ymo's place. A new bathing suit for Laura!
We ate dinner at our favorite sushi place "Iron Chef". Laura went to town on the tuna.
Yummmmmmy sushi.

Florida

Laura and her dad spent 5 days in Florida so that mommy could get some of her sanity back. She quickly rekindled her friendship with Janise.
She got this Snow White costume as a present with pumps and wore it every day.
Look at these ladies after partying all night long.

Cranky

Laura was cranky when I woke her up this morning. I think she's sleep deprived. This was her in the morning.

This is Laura after I picked her up from school. Very moody, crying over the smallest things. Poor little girl.

Embarrassing

I picked up Laura from Preschool yesterday and one of her teachers said
"We asked Laura what her father's name was and she said 'it's hey, babe'!"

Busy Sunday

We went to the gym so I could play tennis from 1 to 2pm then shot straight to Theo's 4th year party which was just down the street from the gym. A lot of Laura's classmates were there but not her "best friend" Thomas.
Then off to Thomas' house for his mom's 40th birthday party. Laura got a present from Leah. "Piggie"
They're pretending to eat fake food while Laura's talking on a fake phone.
