Miscellaneous

Happy Holidays.

Here are some miscellaneous pics sent to me from this past few months.
Laura is all girly in her pink dress and pony tails.

I love this photo. My sister took it while we were praying before dinner at my parents. Laura was praying very hard for something. Maybe some play time with Thomas.

Dinner with 2 toddlers. Never a dull moment.

Kids these days. I tell you... they grow up sooo fast. One minute, they're just little tots, next they're copping a feel. Next thing you know, they're hopping into bed together.

Ooops, I spoke too soon.

December 4, 2006
Laura has a cold (nothing serious) and was up most of the night coughing and crying so I decided to stay home from work and take care of her. What a mistake. I guess this is where the terrible twos begin. Many tantrums and fits of crying over minutia. I know it was because of the sleep deprivation but when I tried to put her down for a long nap, she was a maniacal brat. We had battles all day long. She slept for 3 hours but was still not well behaved after waking up. She finally settled into her normal demeanor and she helped me make some virus infested oatmeal cookies with I'm sure, plenty of snot. Care for a bite? They are kinda tasty. Thanksgiving

I took some time off to visit my folks in Philly. Monday through Saturday of Tday week. It was good spending some time with them. They had just moved into a smaller condo and the kitchen was still not finished. They finished it on Wed! We almost had to get takeout pizza for Thanksgiving!
Laura took to my parents well (since she hasn't seen them since last April) and was overall a "good girl" except for a few minor incidents of uncontrolled crying but I won't elaborate.

Tday meal. Thanks mom for all the cooking!

Yummy cheesecake for dessert

A visit to my aunt and uncle in Silver Springs,MD. Laura doing a puzzle with my bro, Jimmy.

Overall a great trip. I was lazy with the photos. Laura was great with her grandparents until Thursday when my sister showed up. Then she just wanted to spend all her time with her auntie. She also got to meet the great grandmother for the first time. 86 years old and healthy as a horse. She was visiting my aunt/uncle in MD. The week went by too fast. I miss them already.

Playdate: November 15, 2006

It has been a while since Laura has hung out with her buddy Thomas. I miss the summers when we could just meet and hang out at the park. I invited Thomas over and when the car pulled up in front of the house, I opened the door and Laura screamed at the top of her lungs for a full 5 minutes because she was so excited. I'm sure the neighbors appreciated that.

She was also so excited that she kept jumping up and down and managed to lose her pants.

The night consisted of take out sushi, the Wiggle's video and "read a book" about Dolphins. Laura was not the best hostess. As soon as Thomas came into the house and started going through her toys, the only words that came out of her mouth was "MINE!" and grabbed everything out of his hands.
