Winter Wonderland

We got about a foot of snow. I bundled up Laura and went outside for some fun in the snow.
Get ready for a snowball fight. Laura lost. I threw one in her face and she had a meltdown. Poor little girl. Sorry Laura.

Hectic Sunday

After the morning, I took Laura to the gym so that I could play tennis. Then we went to Sarah's birthday party (schoolmate). It was a girls party and Laura immediately joined in since she knew all the girls from her school. She had a great time.
Then a quick trip to Trader Joes at her request and finally we stopped at the house on Jamaicaway with the crazy lights. Laura loved it.

I asked them if I could do this too and they said "no".

El Jolgorio Navideno

We went to this fundraising event at the Boston Convention Center. I told Laura that we were going to a party and she could wear her dress and stockings. She changed, got her coat and hat on and was sitting next to the door for at least 20 minutes while we were getting ready. That has NEVER happened before.

La Pinata Children Dance Group

Laura seemed to have enjoyed herself. She was dancing around in her seat to the music while she was eating but after eating her dinner and being there for a full hour she said "Let's go home now".

The food was fair, the Lt Governor and Mayor Menino showed for quick speeches. We had an ok time. I think Laura was happy with the fact that she got to dress up and go out. Typical girly girl.

Christmas tree

Santa brought Laura her very own tree.

Laura took this photo of me.

Pouty because I wasn't putting it together fast enough.
She broke out her harmonica.

Laura

I took some random pictures of Laura today. It's been so cold and dry lately, her hair has been completely dry, brittle and frizzed out so we've been just putting it up but it has really caused a lot of tearing and splitting of her hair. Today, her father put a lot of stuff in it and she was looking cute and not "rough" as she has been looking lately.

Then she'll do this to ruin the picture.
Nerd.

Gingerbread house

Today was freezing in the 20's. Laura and I went out to do some errands and we saw this gingerbread kit. I didn't buy it initially because I was planning to do it completely from scratch. I came home and looked at the Martha Stewart recipe and the prospect of all that work just made me even more exhausted so we schlepped back out into the cold and back to the store.
$10: Instant gratification: Priceless.
Sugar high!

Pick up Thomas

I picked up Thomas and Laura from school today. They were so happy that they held hands on the way out. Thomas only stayed for an hour so it was a quick visit.
