Laura and I were invited to my neighbor, Evelyn's home to make homemade Baklava. She gave me step by step instructions and lent me her special pan to make them.
First, she showed me how to coarsely chop the walnuts.
She also added sugar and rosewater.
She instructed me on how to render butter. She also showed me how to make the syrup too.
Then we layed out the filo dough and painted it with butter. Layer by layer.
Laura helped for maybe 5 whole minutes.

Right after taking it out of the oven, pour the syrup. Yummy goodness.
