The next morning, I found a present that Thomas left for us in the back corner of our downstair's bathroom, his underpants.

Sunday and Monday
On Sunday night, Laura wanted to make cookies because I bought her some new sprinkles. I think it's really because she wanted to lick the batter. She actually didn't want to eat any of the cookies but only the sprinkles. Just like she only eats icing off cupcakes. We took the cookies to her school for a treat.

On Monday night, her boyfriend came over for dinner and a movie.
Thomas wanted to cuddle on the couch. Wow, I wonder where he's getting all his moves from? He's becoming a regular playa.

Saturday
Actually, this photo was from Thursday showing what a bad mother I have been. I gave Laura chocolate cake for breakfast. Hey, who doesn't love chocolate cake for breakfast?
Late in the afternoon, we went to the mall. Yes, more quality time with mama. We went to the food court for dinner where there was nothing but lovely delicious greasy chinese food, pizza and hamburger with fries and I asked Laura what she wanted and she said "I want a salad". Then after I picked myself off the floor, I asked her again and she said "I want a salad". And even after pushing her to the aroma of a nearby deep fryer, I finally relented and took her to Au Bon Pain which is at a different level of the mall.
We got salad and vegetarian chili with whole wheat grainy bread. Maybe she's thinking that mama is gaining too much weight on her time off!

I guess it's true. She's thinking, yeah mama, lay off the fries.

Larz Anderson Park
Dancing?
Imagine this level of energy 24/7. Yeah, that's what I have to deal with daily.
Also, where's the music, Laura? This just reinforces the fact that there will not be any type of scholarship in the Arts. Seriously, I need to rethink her genetic makeup. Is that really dancing? Where's the soul?

Weekend
We didn't do much this weekend. Laura has been fighting a cold and has been really asthmatic. The past several days have been hot and humid and just downright uncomfortable but after hurricane Hanna came through last night, today was a glorious sunny day.
After tennis and a little shopping, I took Laura to the playground with the sprinklers. Thomas just happened to be there so Laura was really happy.

Hummus
Laura and I made some hummus last night and since I have been so lazy, this and some banana bread was our dinner for the night.
This is the method that Laura used to eat the hummus. She wrapped a big dollop in Lavash bread and would squish it so that it would come out of the sides and then she would adjust her hair getting gobs of it in her locks and then lick all the remnants off her hands.
She got the earring from her trip to NH but already broke one of them. By the end of the night, she broke this one too.

Labor Day
I've been lazy so I didn't post these pictures.
Ymo and soon to be Ymoboo and I took a tour of Boston on Labor Day while Laura and her dad went to see Wall-E. We walked about half the Freedom trail.
We visited Paul Revere's house and still can't fathom that he had 16 children in this tiny home.
Hedi tried to pick a pear from Paul Revere's tree.
I was eying the concord grapes.
We continued our walk to the North End.

The Old North Church

Refreshments after the Freedom trail. We ate at the Quincy market for dinner.
Laura says goodbye.
