Southwick Zoo

Laura and I were invited to Southwick's Zoo with Thomas' family again!
We started with the petting zoo and Laura has completely overcome her fear of animals. I don't know when that happened.

We also got the kiddie rides out of the way early. Mostly because Laura was insistent about going on the rides and she also ran off by herself a couple of times to get to them.

We ended the day with ice cream. It got really windy in the afternoon with lots of dust and my allergies were going crazy. We came back to Thomas' house for dinner and the kids had a bath together. I took Laura home around 7pm and sat her in front of a Dora video to veg out and she promptly fell asleep for the night.

Saturday

We took the T to Chinatown for dim sum at China Pearl.

I tried chicken feet again and still didn't like it.

So did Jodi and she didn't like it either.

Thomas looking very nice and innocent. Then the chopsticks came out.
Troublemakers.
We got some mochi and bubble tea for dessert.
Laura drank all of my lychee bubble tea.
Then we walked to Boston Commons and the kids ran off in their usual fashion. My cousin was the designated runner.
There was a really nice street entertainer and Laura and Thomas got into the act.

The father of those 2 little boys in the act came up to me and said "Your son is so cute".

Then we took them to the playground at Frog Pond and walked around some more.
We came back home and made some turkey burgers on the grill and called it a day.

Thursday and Friday

My cousin came to visit with his fiance so we did all things that involved eating. I picked them up at the bus station on Wednesday night.
Thursday morning, Laura is ready for school.

We went to Legals Seafood on Thursday night b/c cousin loves clam chowder but overall the food that night was not very good.

Friday, we went to China town for a late lunch for "hot pot" at Shabu Zen.

Laura liked the little clams. It was also my first taste of Mochi. It was filled with green tea ice cream and was really yummy.

Laura went to her swim class and then we made swordfish kebobs in aioli sauce for dinner. Laura helped with the cooking.
She still ended up eating General Gao's chicken after dinner.
