Saturday night with Maya

We were invited by one of hubby's friend's place for dinner. You may remember Maya from her Princess/Cinderella birthday party that Laura went to. She's about 6 months younger than Laura and they were instantly friends. Laura was also in heaven with all of Maya's girly toys.

Saturday: April 5, 2008 Sea World

Wow. Talk about pricey. The tickets were about $50 each!Laura and I went to all the shows.
We watched the Shamu (or as Laura says: Shambu) show twice.
She wouldn't touch the sting rays.
We waited in this horrendous line for the Sesame show 4D movie. It was pretty entertaining. The seats would vibrate and thump with events on the screen and spray water on you when there was water on the screen. Needless to say, Laura got spooked and we had to leave after about 10 minutes. Literally, she ran out and I had to run after her.

Friday, April 4, 2008: San Diego Zoo

Laura and I made it to San Diego on Thursday night. Grueling flight with an hour (only 20 minutes due to headwinds) layaway in Arizona and only snacks on the flight. Ugh. Didn't even stop for real food.
Here's Laura on Friday morning at the hotel, ready for her day. After the zoo, we stopped at a playground for Laura to run around. I pushed her in the stroller for most of the day and the zoo is VERY hilly and I did a LOT of walking. I should have made her walk more!
Laura wanted to feed the seagulls her animal crackers. Then she got scared when they got too close. (click on photo to see her terrified expression)

Laura made scuba goggles and fins at preschool. So funny.

Pajama Day

Today was Pajama Day at school where all the kids came to preschool in their pajamas. (Seriously, I wish pajama day was every day).
It helped because I had to drive hubby to the airport this morning at 5am and just threw Laura in the car straight from her bed and then came back home, ate breakfast and dropped her off at school. Phew.
